The day we visited this museum as part of the TBEX activities, I finally saw the Eurovision 60-year exposition. I am a huge ABBA fan but a bigger Eurovision freak. I couldn’t hold myself, and these were some of the things I did:

First, Abba the Museum is a great place if you are either an ABBA or Eurovision fan. If you count on one of these, it will be easier to enjoy it. Is it impossible to be an ABBA or a Eurovision fan and not enjoy singing and dancing all over the place to these songs? If you’re not a fan, I still believe there are plenty of ways to enjoy it. This museum is a paradise for any Eurovision fan.

ABBA The Museum is filled with interactive exhibits that make the experience truly immersive. You can try on digital versions of ABBA’s iconic costumes, create your song mixes, and even record yourself singing ABBA’s greatest hits. One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the Eurovision 60 Years exhibition. As a huge Eurovision fan, this was a dream come true. The Swedish Music Hall of Fame is located inside Abba the Museum. Anyone who is a music fan knows that Sweden is one of the biggest musical exporters in the world. This museum celebrates Swedish Pop Music, which is still praised around the world. You might think you have an idea of Swedish music, but once you get there, you discover you only knew a little. I loved getting to know more about Swedish musical hits through the years.

Despite the crowd size, the museum is well-organized, and the wait times are generally reasonable. Yes, I am a huge karaoke fan, so I would love a museum that allows me to showcase my amazing singing skills. While having fun doing this, Abba the Museum also walks you through the history of a great band. In this museum, you can also get in touch with them by singing those songs that made them famous. It is impossible not to try to hum to “Dancing Queen.“
Is the ABBA Museum Worth It? Visiting the Museum
ABBA is the biggest Swedish band. I am pretty sure that everyone can recall at least one of their songs, even when they don’t really know it’s by them. If you don’t know who they are or are not sure about their songs, ABBA the museum does a great job of letting you know all the details about their career. You will sure know a lot more about them after leaving, and of course, why not get souvenirs in the store?
Is ABBA Museum Worth It? It’s Part of the Swedish Culture!
If you are in Stockholm, you will see Gamla Stan, Skansen, maybe the Royal Palace and the Museum of Art. You will try to do all of this because you are trying to get in touch with Swedish culture, but how can you get in touch with Swedish culture if you don’t know anything about the first Swedish band to win Eurovision?
Swedish culture has a whole cult for Eurovision, starting with how big the Melodifestivalen, their national selection for their Eurovision representative, is. In 2023, Sweden tied Ireland as the country that has won this festival the most times and is one of only two countries that has won it with the same singer twice.
We Need to Talk About ABBA Voyage in London
Abba Voyage is a completely different experience from Abba The Museum. It is a virtual concert residency in which the four ABBA members are represented by their avatars. These are held in London in a venue called the ABBA Arena. This show started in May 2022, and the plan is to continue through 2024.

The only reason why I didn’t visit the Abba museum when I was in Stockholm was because it wasn’t included in the Stockholm Pass and the price was too high. I wish I would have though, I love Abba, I grew up with their songs.
