If you ask me, Rome is a city that, with all its enchantment, might be also challenging. If you are visiting either for the first time or the 47th, finding the best place to stay in Rome might always be challenging. There are plenty of colors and spectrums if you move from one area to another. For that reason, I decided to go through most of the areas of the city, searching for the most unique tours in Rome and hotels, so you can find out which is the best place to stay in Rome during your next visit.

Where to Stay in Rome: Best Place to Stay in Rome According to Me
As I mentioned above, the best place to stay in Rome is Termini. I think it is an area close to everything you want to see in Rome, and also, is close to the main train station in the city. If you are like me, Termini is also the best place for you. If not, evaluate the other neighborhoods to find something that suits you.
Now I will talk about some hotels and hostels at the top of my list as the best place to stay in Rome.
YellowSquare Rome – Best Place to Stay in Rome to Make Friends
I have mentioned before that YellowSquare Rome is one of my favorite hostels in the world. This is my go-to hostel if I am visiting Rome. I think it is a place that has something for everybody. You can find shared dorms and private rooms, and also, it has a nice bar to meet people. For these reasons and being just blocks away from Roma Termini, this is the best place to stay in Rome.
The RomeHello
The RomeHello is a vibrant boutique hostel close to the Centro Storico which provides different amenities and also, offers dorms and private rooms for different types of travelers. This hostel also has a bar that, as YellowSquare Rome, it provides a place to meet fellow travelers and hang out. This is hands down one of the best places to stay in Rome.
The Beehive
The Beehive has a similar profile to the two other boutique hostels that were mentioned above. It provides accommodations for budget travelers and travelers who want private rooms. What makes The Beehive pretty unique is their breakfast bagels, which for an additional cost you can get for your breakfast, and also, their cooking classes. For 50 euros you can be part of a cooking class which is an experience that you must have if you visit anywhere in Italy.
Hotel Forum
If you are looking for some luxury combined with the best of Roman history, this is the perfect hotel for you. This hotel has some of the best views in Rome in Piazza Venezia, near the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. It’s a perfect location, and those perfect views make it the best place to stay in Rome for luxury travelers.
Final thoughts on the best places to stay in Rome
When choosing the best place to stay in Rome, always consider your interests, what you plan to do in the city, and your personal preferences. It could be hard for someone who enjoys resting to stay in a place that is more party-oriented. This is why you need to read some reviews and know better which area is suitable for you. I hope this guide has helped you to make up your mind.
