Getting Mentally Prepared For My First TBEX
A year ago I dreamed of this. It was by then when a fellow Travel Blogger asked me: “Have you been to a TBEX?” and I decided to make my research, TBEX Europe 2016 was going to be in my favorite city in the world: Stockholm, Sweden. I found the $127 thanks to my bake sale and Guardian Angels that have been always looking forward and supporting everything I write. Everything was ready: in July 2016 I was attending TBEX Europe. Now, less than a week before departing back to Stockholm, I decided to look forward and behind to what my expectations are and how I have been working toward them.
Getting Ready:
Since January I have been putting together this blog the best that I can. I am proud of how much it has grown since then, and I am sure that, when I get to meet fellow travel bloggers next week, this will be my best presentation letter. I am happy about how much I have grown as a writer and as a blogger. Even though I had very bad times during the last months, I have been trying to keep in touch with my readers. TBEX is one of the biggest goals I had in my blogging career, and definitely being about to achieve it makes me immensely happy.
I must say that, even though I thought it was going to be easier to prepare for something I wanted for so long, every detail has been a nightmare (maybe because I am a professional procrastinator!) But, I made a few online jobs to count with a budget to survive a few weeks in Europe, I still haven’t received my money. (GREAT!) I have been trying to subscribe to every activity TBEX related to live the experience fully. I still haven’t received the business cards I ordered before leaving, those I will give to every company representative and to fellow Travel Bloggers. I have a huge desire to use this opportunity to grow.
I finally bought a new bag a few days ago, and besides going to Stockholm, I will be visiting Oslo and different areas in Italy. This time I am leaving with my heart filled with joy and wishing to have a lot of new experiences and meeting new and amazing people. Arriving in Stockholm is always a happy moment for me. This will be my third time in the city and I just can’t wait to see what does it have stored for me.
Every time I walk around Stockholm’s streets, I feel the ABBA music playing all over the place. I am sure this time it won’t be any different.

Congrats on making your dream come true. (I tried to think of a less dorky way to say that…but nothing came to mind!) I’ve been trying to get more involved in business networking and it isn’t a small step. You have to be prepared to share your blog with the world and that can be scary. I think you will have an amazing time and learn so much!
